The Royal Melbourne Regiment Drill Hall at the corner of Therry and Victoria Street Melbourne consists of 59 residential apartments over 8 levels built above an existing red brick heritage building.  The heritage building itself was constructed in 1937 in preparation for World War 2 and includes a fully multi-purpose hall with a 7 metre high ornate plaster ceiling and a basement firing range, as well as stores and offices which have been refurbished to form a community hub with meeting rooms, offices and catering facilities.

The building has been refurbished and extended as part of the federal government's affordable housing initiative, and has been designed to achieve a 5 star energy rating.  The new residential portion of the building forms an imposing structure with a variety of textured precast finishes being the most dominant feature.  However at the same time the charm and appeal of the period features have been retained, such as the formidable aerofoil columns to the east facade and the distinctive triangular shape of the building.
