- Implementing appropriate control measures that will mitigate negative effects to the environment

- Providing employees, subcontractors and other service providers with appropriate information, instruction and training to ensure that they are aware of any potential issues in the workplace that may impact on the environment

- Complying with all applicable legal, regulatory and other guidelines for environmental management and protection

This policy recognises the Icon Construction reponsibility for the health and safety of all personnel under its control.  In fulfilling this responsibility, the company has a duty of care to provide and maintain a working environment that is safe, without risk to health and safety of employees, customers, suppliers and member of the public as defined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Consultation

To meet these objectives, management is committed to regular consultation with employees to ensure that health and safety issues are regularly reviewed.  Company management recognises that health and safety implementation is more effective when a joint management / employee approach is used to identify and address health and safety issues.

Management will at all times consult with and seek co-operation from all employees to enable the company to achieve its health and safety objectives and to promote safe working environments.

Icon Construction

- Is reponsible for effective implementation of this policy

- Will comply with applicable legislation, codes of practice and industry guidelines

- Will provide appropriate information, instruction and training for all employees

- Will provide supervision and resources to ensure that all safe work procedures are implemented

- Will make regular assessments of Company Health and Safety performance

- Will fulfill its injury management and rehabilitation responsibilities.

Employees (including contractors)

- Have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and of the health and safety of others affected by their actions at work

- Will comply with all safety procedures and lawful directions issued by management
